What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a way of making information from websites readily available in one place. Their convenience and ease of use has made RSS feeds very popular. Users can quickly see when new information is published and access it, without having to trawl round different websites.

Planet Earth Online has made available a number of RSS feeds. These feeds allow you to stay up to date with the latest additions to this site, as well as see press releases and news announcements from our Research and Collaborative Centres.

To subscribe to a particular feed, you will need a News Reader or other similar device (see 'RSS Readers' - right). Subscription to our feeds is free, but if you would like to use a feed to display content from Planet Earth Online on your own website, please observe our terms and conditions.
